Christmas List, etc.

While sitting in the Honors Lounge, I realized it's been almost a month since I posted an update. Oh, the humanity! The shame! How can I ever live with myself? However, as I was contemplating committing seppuku to spare my family the shame, the heavens opened up and a heavenly light shone down upon me. My way was clear. Alas, it is time that I ( Read more... )

We should plan an after new-years, "What?! We have classes again?" party. *will bring booze* :D

Misato! Gendo! I don't envy your decision. Are we going to do the costume contest? Can we, can we?!

Yah, it'd be fun. :O We'd have to decide whether we'd want to do Saiyuki or Eva, though.

Ah, the decisions in life. ; ; Both would be totally awesome though. I guess just whichever set of costumes look best?

Yeah, I think that'd work best, going with whichever costume looks best. Saiyuki would be fun to do, though, because then I could call you names and beat you up. >_>

OMG! Jane Eyre and Wide Sargasso Sea... those are such good books. And such good parallel books. I wish we had talked about vampirism in it and stuff, that would have been awesome.

OMG! I've been to Chichen Itza! My family went there when we went to Mexico. Ok, so I was like 11 and I don't remember anything. XP What interests you about it? :D

BOOZE FTW.

Yay for vampirism. It still makes me giggle that the most psychologically vampiric character in the novel is St. John. XD

We didn't talk about vampirism in the books at all because our professor doesn't know very much about it. I took it upon myself to do my research project over it because

Mayan culture interests me a lot. I've been to Chacchoben, Altun Ha, and San Jervasio, but I'd like to visit the ruins at Chichen Itza because they're so much larger and more fully excavated. Plus, I like the astronomically significant aspect of some of the buildings. :D

Oh St John. He was a fascinating character. ^_^

Ah, my mom is really interested in Mayan culture too! I remember at Chichen Itza the tour guide talked about how some of the buildings were aligned like a calendar on the ground, I always thought that was so cool. Is it the Mayans who predicted the end of the world in 2011?

Plethora is a great word and really should be used more often!

Ainge really sucked so badly in that game. The fact that nearly the entire LSU team was injured and we still got beat was amazing.

Not to mention that LSU racked up all those penalties and we had maybe one, if any. Auuuugh. x_x
