So, you're listening to a song, and you mis-hear the lyrics. This is a Mondegreen...
The two that I used to have are the following:
Little Red Corvette by Prince, I'd hear as Baby, come back! -- this one I only got right today,
Kyrie by Mr. Mister, I'd hear Kyrie Eleison as 'carry a laser'.

So, what mondegreens have you had?

I have the mp3 too, which is quite relaxing to listen to, especially after having seen the video.
Though funny enough, the guy in the video makes me think of the creator of Irregular Webcomics.

Got a video I want to see, can't remember what it is called.
Done very 'old school', black and white video, a guy as a secret agent, very classy, James Bond sort of stuff.
Ends with the guy blowing everything up.

And the key words to the lyrics?  'And I feeeeeeel alright'.

Someone on my friends list had shown me a web page once where you can find a song (that you don't know the name or lyrics to) by tapping out the beat with your mouse. Cat hummed a small melody tonight, which echoed with a song I knew when I was young, and that is driving me nuts because I want the song, but don't know the name or any of the lyrics ( Read more... )

So, I was wondering why my radio station on Last FM wasn't working.  Apparently, after looking over the FAQ, I found out you need to buy a subscription to Last FM to gain the benefits of your 'scrobble'.  If you don't pay, you get nada.  Essentially, what you have is a Live Journal that charts the music you've been listening to, and very little ( Read more... )
