He’s outside. He’s walking through the parking lot on a beautiful fall morning when, suddenly, the world falls away. Everything goes white. Pure, aching, blinding white.

He swims in the white a moment as it fades. Fades to grey. Fades to black.

This was so real. And gripping. What I liked best was the part where all Wilson remembers of before the bomb is that House didn't give a damn about him, and that he seems to like it better after the bomb because of that. Because he has to have something he likes since after the bomb or he'll go insane.

This was great. Very powerful.

I found it interesting how the words set the pace of my reading. I read quite fast through the rows upon rows of sick people and the "Gloves on, blood wiped away, vitals taken, wounds cleaned, re-bandaged, gloves off, new gloves on, next patient." sections. But when they made their getaway on the motorcycle I was literally racing through it.
