In the ongoing struggle between gravity and the light fixture above our front door, gravity has emerged the victor. But really, the winner in this scenario is me, as it has afforded me the opportunity to make use both of my "picking up tiny shards of glass" and "tending to open wounds" skills, hitherto sorely lacking in my daily life ( Read more... )

When I first glanced at your post and saw the New Moon lj-cut, I worried for you. Glad to hear you just went to support your mum and that other people in the crowd were leaning towards Team Jacob. ;-) Also, LOL MICHAEL SHEEN.

WHITE COLLAR! I think the show could use some better writing in later episodes, but the awesomeness of Tim DeKay and the adorableness of his interactions with Matt Bomer and Tiffani Theissen make up for just about any other shortcomings. ♥

Oh, mum. Yeah, she did this to me with the previous movie, too. At least she's stopped nagging me to read the books. >_<;

As for White Collar, I've only seen the first two episodes, but I was stupidly impressed with the pilot. The second episode was weaker, but I'd expected that. Hopefully the quality of the writing will pick up later on.

And man, Tim DeKay kind of owns me a little at this stage. But all three of them, really, are amazing. I'm not usually an OT3 sort of person but, well...

Ack, light fixture! I knew it was on there a little weird, but I did not know there was a ongoing struggle. I am not sure how I go about finding a cover that will fit. *sighs* I guess I'll have to call the caretaker and hope he actually returns my message this time.

I didn't realize it was in danger of falling until I heard the mysterious crash about a half hour after you left.

You might want to check it out before making the call. A few pieces of the light fixture -- a bolt and a gold, uh, thing -- fell off as well.

Yeah, I figured I'd need to look at it first.

What I should have done was take it off when you first pointed out it was on there weird and put it back on right. But I was lazy. *sighs*

Haha, yeah. Have you ever been to Rifftrax.com? It's like having three sarcastic people in your living room with you making merciless fun of whatever it is you're watching. I haven't heard their Twilight riff, but if you're still interested in seeing the movie it may help.

And my mum made me watch the first Twilight movie, too. But she was, uh, entirely serious about loving it.

... yeah.

I've been told that it's a must see for the lulz, but I have yet to see it. I guess you couldn't make fun of it with her lol.

Tony Blair, king of the werewolves, is a vampire in New Moon? My world, it tilts on its axis!

White Collar! Is amazing! I love it so much! And whosits who plays Peter is seriously the best thing about that show, mostly because he can act and also because his character is made of win.

I do not yet have an icon for this show, but I suspect this will change soon.

Not only is he a vampire, he's, so far as I can tell, the most important vampire alive. So he's king of the vampires, too. I'm so confused.

Whosits (Tim DeKay, I think) can act and his character is made of win and he's as close to my kind of detective as TV is affording me these days, so I'm very pleased.

As for the icon hunt, I expect I'll be doing likewise shortly... >_>;

Thank you for the good wishes! I will imagine Chuck Shirley cheering me on. (God, your icon is brilliant.)
