I have achieved sandwich mastery.

I have a kind of weird relationship with sandwiches, where I like them but don't really like any of the traditional sandwich fillings. I find peanut butter and jelly revolting, ham and cheese pretty boring (and as a child I wouldn't eat deli meat and possibly I also wouldn't eat any kind of cheese that you put on a ( Read more... )

No, really, I've actually gotten way less picky since I got here because other people cook for me a lot and I am always ordering things off menus I can only read half of.

Aha! Well, with that said I am more inclined to believe you.

That sounds really, really good and I think I will try it soon. I need pesto, but might be able to make some...

Pesto is a thing of beauty. It makes all sandwiches more interesting.

You should try avocado as a spread instead of butter sometime... I swear this is not my Mom trying to make me go organic.

Anyway, sandwiches are fine... until you happen to have them for lunch all throughout high school (always chilli salmon, surprisingly), and now cannot even LOOK at chilli salmon (those flat-sealed packs). *shakes fist at random (chilli optional) salmon pack*

I also have the depressing curse of having ALL my sandwiches fall apart whenever I make them. Seriously. If it's got more than 2 ingredients in it (including the spread), it's 100% guarantee to fall apart.

You can then conclude as to how my high school lunches tended to go. :P

P.S.: Your recipe sounds pretty good. Now where's my pesto...?

I'm not that big a fan of avocado. I like it, but generally not enough to bother buying it.

My sandwiches fall apart too. Always. Sandwiches I buy tend to fall apart even worse.

Rereading my recipe is making me want to eat it again.
