I have achieved sandwich mastery.

I have a kind of weird relationship with sandwiches, where I like them but don't really like any of the traditional sandwich fillings. I find peanut butter and jelly revolting, ham and cheese pretty boring (and as a child I wouldn't eat deli meat and possibly I also wouldn't eat any kind of cheese that you put on a ham and cheese sandwich), and everything else either boring or disgusting. I like tuna, but frankly I like it better without the bread around it (I usually eat it with corn chips). Also I won't eat sandwich bread unless it's toasted.

I swear I am not that picky an eater any more.

Oh, also sandwiches make me sneeze. I think it's something about taking really big bites to eat a really fat sandwich.

So I am constantly on the quest to make a sandwich I actually like, and putting weird things on sandwiches. Today I have made perhaps the perfect sandwich.

You will need:

Two slices of sandwich bread
Butter
Garlic
Pesto
Onion
Cucumber
cheese
1 egg

I toasted the bread in the oven (I don't have a toaster), and sadly it got a little too toasty, but fortunately I was able to semi-fix that by buttering one slice of bread, and then spreading the chopped up garlic on the bread. The other slice of bread got pesto'd. Then I fried the onions, put them, cucumber slices, and a slice of cheese (gouda, if you want to know), on the sandwich, scrambled and cooked the egg (it came out satisfyingly close to the right size for my sandwich), and then I realized my laundry was done and freaked out because I didn't want my sandwich to get cold and I didn't want to leave my laundry, so I had to put the sandwich back in the pan and put my plate over it. That step is optional.

OM NOM NOM.
