 So, I sort of watched the Oscars. I saw the best actor/actress and best picture bits. I love the Oscars for the pomp and circumstance and the nostalgia, and for the mocking of dresses, but the problem is I just don't care about movies. I haven't seen any of the best picture nominees. It's possible I haven't seen any of the movies nominated for

Oh lord, I have a 10 page paper due this coming Friday, and 3 more papers due within the month as well as about 5 chapters worth of Latin homework to catch up on.

That said, I always intend to watch the Oscars but I only ever end up streaming segments that I actually am interested in. However I am EXTREMELY happy that Colin Firth won for Best Actor and The King's Speech did so well overall.

I still have not seen The King's Speech! I'm super behind on my Colin Firth fangirling. My roommate and I totally called it for the win, though.

I had called it but there's always room for doubt - although I think I must have tired everyone by going on about how cross I would be if Colin Firth lost out again this year.
