So I've decided to set aside the Friday before Christmas to go see the first installment of The Hobbit. Today was not a good day at all for a sick kitty or their mama.

I'm going to try and update daily during my journey caring for a pet with cancer, so I have a record of my time with Squidgy once she has passed on. I might even go so far as to post some photographs (new and old) of the Squidge; but for the present, it'll be the ups and downs of treatment and coping with this transitional period in her (and my) ( Read more... )

After a touch and go night with her red blood cell count (the numbers are so very very low now), the vet allowed Squidgy to come home this afternoon. I have to give her medicine three times a day to boost her immune system, and to keep the nausea down, and watch her carefully until her next red blood cell check on Thursday with my regular vet.
