Jen is right, the lighting is amazing. The book stacks. The stairs. The AWESOME. Uhm, I can't think straight, but I'm very much in love with this. Jason's shirt cracks me up, for some reason. He looks so fresh! it all actually looks very fresh, but fresh is not a word I would usually associate with Jason Blood. Which is obviously a terrible mistake, because eeeeeeee!! Babs! Babs' top! and her glasses! and Jason's hair!

Yay! Thank you! The lighting was actually one of the main things I was trying to get right here--I'm obsessed with light, but I've never been able to capture it before, so I'm excited that it actually ... looks like there's light in this picture, lol. Even if it is Gotham and should probably be gloomier, eep! So yes--not a lame thing for you to mention at all! It has made me very happy that you did. XD *dances*

And I'm glad the jacket is recognizable as a jacket, too, lol--I was afraid it would just look like an amorphous blob of ... blobbiness. *grin*

I want to brush her hair.I read your fic before I posted this, and when you were describing Barbara with her hair pulled back I started thinking, Oh no! I drew Babs with her hair down! She's supposed to be a severe librarian, she shouldn't have her hair down nooo! I guess I can claim that Jason, um, undid it. ;p

Oh, I'm still trying to get the hang of it, lol. I love watercolor, but it never quite does what I want it to. I just recently got a book on it, though, and I think that's helped. Watercolors, I'll figure you out yet!!

Oh, I'm totally a "think in lines" person, so watercolor is just WAY too chaotic for me, all over the place, drives me nuts nuts nuts.

Oh, wow. That small space between them really completes this. Everything about this speaks like it's just beginning (or even ending!). Gah, what beautiful use of watercolours. And Jason's hand on Barbara's leg! :D So wonderfully done!

Whee! I'm glad that came across. :) I did draw this with the idea that it was the very start of their relationship. Although I'm a fool for angst and bittersweetness, too, so now that you bring up the possibility that it could be the end, I might start thinking of it that way instead, lol.
