phebemarie, we must talk - talk of Dean and Jess and SG actors pitching up in real life shows and the phoebe boufet sisters soundtrack which is driving me up the wall and I think my inner monologue is becoming Lorelai Gilmore!

I'll be honest, I resented Jess when he popped up in season 2. I never warmed to him. It seemed like he was the character that Dean (feels funny writing that) was supposed to be in the first few episodes of season one--before they dumbed him down.

Did you watch Heroes before seeing Jess in Gilmore Girls? I never watched Heroes and wonder if I'd had a more positive experience with the actor playing Jess if my opinion of him might have been different.

Jealous boyfriend or no, I always preferred Dean...at least in the early seasons. (I'll share my opinions regarding the college years when you get there).

Word of warning: Stars Hollows never really alters very much. Lorelai continues to wrestle with the same types of issues all the way to the end of the series.

I really miss the word play of Gilmore Girls. It always made me feel smart when I recognized a literary or pop culture reference.

I may have to review some of the early season to get back to the same place as you. :)

yeah, I watched Heroes and got to know Peter (Milo's character) there, but it didn't really endear me to him, exactly ( ... )

I hated that Rory lost her virginity to a married man (even if it was a character I initially liked). Talk about character assassination for both of them.

I'll have to review my season 5 DVDs to keep up with you. ;)

Yeah... so far season 5 is hit and miss. Hit is the Luke/Lorelai relationship (and Taylor losing the election). The Miss is Rory/Dean... 'cos it just squick squick squicks and feels too... forced. I'd have preferred her getting back with Jess and trying to fix that than going this route with Dean.

Oh boy.

But I enjoying the Emily vs Richard plot. Very amusing :)
