24, The Constant Gardener and Haute Tension...

Jan 15, 2006 22:03

Today, I watched The Constant Gardener, the fifth season premiere of 24 and the first 45 minutes or so of Haute tension (High Tension).  I'm, to be quite honest, a little traumatized/hyped/frazzled by the 24 premiere, so I'm going to be really brief about these until tomorrow.

No real plot spoilers - just my feelings on each )

24, prison break, tv, movies

24: I'm so pissed/stunned/excited/angry/thrilled by those first 10 minutes alone that I don't think I can even muster up any comments on the rest of the episodes until I've calmed down a bit and slept on it.

Dude. Just...dude. 24 always turns me into a total lunatic. I think I yelled at the screen at least 5 times, and I had to watch with my hands over my face at least half the time. The first 10 minutes blew my mind. I was shocked that they killed Pres. Palmer, although there's only so many storylines you can involve the former president in, so it makes sense to do it. And it's a good way to get Jack back in the story. But I'm really upset that they killed Michelle. I love Michelle! And now, poor Tony! But I'm really liking the setup so far. And you know there are going to be a million more twists before it's over. And I was totally caught off guard by that guy in the White House (still don't know his name) being involved.

Oh, and yay! to Curtis being back. Also, I love Chloe!

First off, I adore your icon. I seriously want a longer Veronica & Clarence team-up episode ( ... )

I told you that Constant Gardener and Ralph Fiennes were awesome. Supposedly, quiet support is starting to build for the film and with Ralph's new movie out (and getting great reviews), I'm hoping that he still might possibly get the Oscar nomination -- I will be spittin' nails if Russell Crowe gets one instead. Grrr.

Haven't watched 24 yet, had to work. I can't wait, though!
