My boyfriend's band has a song called "The Dash". I'm not familiar with the story you speak of...but their song is about when you die, they put the year you were born - (dash) the year you died. And the "dash" is the story of your life, everything that happened in between. Good song. Now that you're back in K-zoo, you should come see them play sometime. :D
