 New Kids on the Block - does that even count as a band though?  It was a boy band...

 Being able to create a story, a life even and throw myself into it.  Reading itself is an escape from "reality" but writing a story lets you really have control of things.

Try to get as close as you can to the subject, take as many as you need and edit out the bad ones later.  Thank goodness for digital cameras!
