The heartbreak these kids go through with families who don't accept them and a society that is afraid of them is truly gut-wrenching. The idea that ancient iron-age words on crumbling pieces of parchment are used to justify the hatred is just as appalling.

Until we throw off the shackles of iron age religion, I'm afraid this terror will go on.
