I have a Friend. I thought He was a He. Apparently, He was a She. So, She is a She.

I like this Friend. She's helped give me perspective, the ability to distance myself far enough from myself enough to realize - that I am Both.

I'm using adjectives more like 'arbitrary' these days..

Given that, for the majority of the population gender pronouns suit the biological sex, it is not entirely surprising that such constructs would stick around. I mean, there's really not any impetus for change, since our current linguistic models serve the majority pretty well (i.e., don't expect to see gender-neutral pronouns in wide use in English or other binary-gender languages anytime soon).

Note, however, that I am not touching on the sociological/psychological aspects of gender constructs, and am confining myself strictly to linguistic phenomena and grammatical gender.

Hm, I never really thought I showed it off much. Granted, I do enjoy prancing around in a dress with little or no provocation, but - I'll take the compliment with a big 'ole smile.

It is definitely a compliment. It's a gracefulness that most guys lack, or something. Not sure I can put my finger on it.

I'm looking forward to: "I thought he was human. Apparently, he is..." or "...he is half-..." or "...he's straight up from outer-space"

I already have a friend from outer-space. He's actually a really nice guy. I'll keep my eye out for halfings, though. They're cute. And very short. I think I have a think for shorties..
