What was everyone told as what to wear, restrictions on equipment, etc.?

Dark, and warm, since it is deep winter in Europe, in a mountainous area.

Yes, ice and snow a-plenty.

Equipment... well, just about anything you want to bring, since plasma weapons and lasers are being deployed to battlefields in her world. They are supposed to get out of there before reinforcements start to arrive in numbers.

*raises hand* I don't know where Bobby is supposed to tag in.

Down in a valley, sits the power distribution complex, an hour walk from their arrival spot. Eight tesla generators in two lines of four, barracks, a command post... the complex is fenced with chain link, barbed wire and sandbags; half-track vehicles stand guard along with gun turrets, and soldiers patrol the area with dogs.

Now, to turn off the power, how? Tesla Generators are simple, sturdy machines, resistant to damage but vulnerable to sabotage.

The power lines running from the base are more fragile... so it is a choice between subtle and unsubtle?

Bobby isn't feeling the cold, but feels sorry for the others as they make their way to the complex.

"Looks easy enough. I can get us through the fence with no problem, and handle the command post, but I don't know jack about disabling generators without frying all of us."

"I think I can snag a line or two with a good throw," Ben replies as he adjusts the black snow cap he's wearing. As per Tanya's request he's also dressed in a black jumpsuit with not much of his signature hid showing. "Or if I can get a close look at the mechanisms I might be able to figure out how ta break 'em quiet like."

Being Reed's Igor all these years should prove useful.

"I can freeze the vehicles in blocks of ice, along with the command post, then cover you while you figure out how to rip out the insides of the the generators, if that works."

He quickly changes from human form to ice form in preparation for the coming adventure.

"I don't want to kill anyone, if we can avoid it."

The Soviet Battle Lab rests high above the plains and five miles straight east from the entrance point from Milliways; the only road is narrow and well-watched, high concrete walls and guard towers stand on the way of would-be invaders. A air of gun turrets and of tesla coils stand at the only entrance ready to fend off attacks, and flak cannons rise their muzzles to the sky looking for airborne targets.

Luckily for the Reds it is winter otherwise Jenks would just fly in and out and be done before you could say, "Tink's diaphram".

But it is winter and while Jenks picked up several warmth amulets from the Bar, they won't do much good if he flies in this weather. So how to get from point A to point B?

Options, options. Well, he has the gadget Tanya gave him to slap on a data line inside. Oh, look, armored troop transport coming up the path towards the Battle Lab.

They certainly would not mind giving a ride, specially if he does not bother asking.

Ah much better than the snow owl he had been eying! Quickly, Jenks flies up to a branch so he can drop onto the vehicle from above and timing it just right, lands with little to mark his presence.

Crawling carefully he heads towards the main cabin to seat himself behind the wind shelter. Once there he checks his weapons (a sword and sling with toxic thorns for ammo), his equipment (both the device Tanya gave him and his own tools) and his jump suit for any tears or loose folds of fabric. Assured all is good, he settles in for what to him will seem like a long ride in the cold.

The last group has the worse of all tasks: wait until the other two are done with their jobs, and then move fast to the target.

Annabelle doesn't like waiting, but it is sometimes necessary. She checks her equipment one more time while waiting, more out of the need to do something than out of any doubt about its readiness.

"How do you think the others are doing in there?"

Bonzo doesn't have that much in the way of equipment. His set-to-stun blaster is on one hip, with all of his spare power packs along for the ride as well; his lightsaber is on the other hip. Given that he doesn't dare take that apart, he's left to fiddling with the blaster. And meditating...which is itself getting quite old.

"Well, I hope."

"As do I," Annabelle replies, solemn. She looks around for the rest of their group.

She's likely to end up coveting the lightsaber before today is over.
