I've read The Fountainhead, but not Atlas Shrugged. I have a feeling they're essentially the same book.

This is the first I've read of Rand, and I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Not for the philosophy, of course, but for simply...the characters and the story. I suppose I'm quite shallow. But she's a much more engaging writer than a philosopher.

Glad to hear you're doing well, even though you've got a lot of work on your hands. I was thinking last week that it'd been a long time since you last posted.

...Replacing labs with lectures? In a science course? Oh dear. At least it's better now. ^^

Thank you. It's good to hear from so many people, though I'm a bit ashamed I haven't been keeping up with all of your journals! (I wonder if I've been clipped in places for "lack of interest," ara!) As for class, I have some finals starting tomorrow, so let's all keep our fingers crossed for the poor Erin. XD I'm a very lab-oriented person, so this was difficult for me. I get bored so easily when it comes to the "text" of applied mathematical theory. (I'd rather learn just by applying it!)

Boggles at tales of teacherly incompetence

Wow. That is beyond amazing. I'm glad that the Powers That Be managed to intervene, even if it was at the last minute.

The problem with this teacher was her graveness in trying to appear omniscient. She never wanted to be seen consulting a book, I think. XD

Gark. That's sucky but YEAH! about the 90 even WITH teacher's incompetence!! ;)

You know you rule!

Hmm... are you actually going to have a summer vacation or is it just study study study until next semester starts? Well, with finals coming up, good luck nonetheless and I hope you find some time to enjoy some fun in the sun! ^_^v

Ah, I was perhaps a bit proud of myself this time. :D (I ususally don't care that much, I'm ashamed to say.) I think I was more prepared than the others, however, because I ask so many difficult questions when in clinicals. I'm always tearing at the brains of the powers-that-be that surround me. As for vacation...I will be enjoying what little of the break I have between semesters. (I think I've figured this to be a little over a week. Woe.)

I like Ayn Rand. I've only read Atlas Shrugged and Anthem, however. Good job on the test score!

Well, I've only read Atlas Shrugged, but I can certainly say that the book was fabulous as far as the actual story goes. So thus far, I like Ayn Ran, despite how people wish to pick apart the person through the writing. It was fun to listen to on the long ride to school and/or clinicals. :)
