Coming Home

Tank is finally back (and as Murdoc predicted, huge). She was driven home most of the way to Kong Studios by Booga. They stopped at a Denny's and then the mutated Roo was ordered home. Murdoc would take her the rest of the way and she wanted time alone with him ( Read more... )

As Murdoc catches up, Tank turns around to let him have it. She is too slow to get away from him now- even if she has a car. But instead of righteous anger, Tank is crying. Some people are shocked that she's capable of this but she is. She cries during horrible dreams, if her friends are really hurt, once her arm was ripped off and she cried from pain. Now it seems to be all three at once ( ... )

If Murdoc wasn't acting so strangely and if he didn't piss her off with his drug use, that bed would already be a mess. Now it just reminds her of what they could be doing.
Murdoc isn't normal or okay and though she regrets coming back here, she wont leave him until she's decided he's hopeless. She's just tired now. And wants him gone so she can think.

"Ahm gonna take a nap. Go away."

She wants him to leave? Who the hell is she to tell him to leave?! There's a flash of anger in Murdoc's eyes and a slight twitch to his expression, but he holds it together for now. The only signs of the devil's fury are Murdoc's hands fisted white-knuckle tight at his sides and the temperature of his skin going up a few more degrees.

"Knackered after the trip? I could stay with you. I'll be quiet as death and I won't bite. Promise. .... I just want to be with you and our son."

She sees the fists at his side, but doesn't react or keep her eyes there for more then a glance. It's hard to say no to his request. Spending time with Murdoc could only help him and help her figure out what's wrong. But she doesn't like him right now. He seems like he's doing a Murdoc impression and it's empty.

Tank sits on the bed, needing more time to think.
"Make us some tea, luv. Then come lay down."

Fucking orders. Women are so demanding. This is why he should have just impregnated a dog or something.
Satan growls under his breath and, though it's quiet, it's not a human sound.

"Tea? Yeah, orright."
Cortez had best be on task and have done his job. The first of the fallen doesn't sit about and watch kettles boil, that's for certain.
He leaves the room and goes a couple doors down the hall to the kitchen. There will be little in the way of mercy if he has to do this himself.
