My journal's been really depressing of late (to complement my mood!?).

I'm generally alright now. It helps that the quarter is over and my grades are now set in stone. I managed to keep my 4.0 for another nine weeks. Just a few more months and I can start worrying about university grades instead of high school ones.

I might just be easily impressed, but you have a refreshing writing style that I've never been able to grasp. I take everything way too literally. I would never write things like "steamed up the windows with more conversation" or even lines taken for granted like "played over the speakers". My brain just doesn't operate on a level of abstract thought where I would sound poetic to myself.

I think I have the same problem in other areas, including art -- taking everything too literally. That makes me good at realism but I fail at giving life to cartoons. I can copy from other people's cartoons but I can't give life on my own.

Eh, I should probably save all of this for my own journal...

Btw I thought you hated French :P

I used to have that problem of being too literal, but since I've become friends with stargirl0 and started reading her journal (and, in the past, poetry and prose), I think I've been subconsciously picking up a lot of subtle things from her.

You're right, I do hate French. It still creeps its way into my conversations at times though.
