This summer has been non-stop travel, mostly all for work with a dash of fun hidden in it (but not enough so that the tax man says that I can't write it off!); Cleveland, Toronto, Kalamazoo (nope - didn't see Elvis), Traverse City (Michigan) and Chicago. I had a hysterectomy and appendectomy last week and all seems to be fine. I had to have a blood transfusion the day before as my hemoglobin was very low and boy oh boy was that an odd feeling of getting blood pumped into you. Well, the time has come and can't be delayed any longer. I had a cyst rupture a month or so back and as the doctor described it - it was as if my insides sneezed and left the gunk all over. Yuck! So, I have to have my appendix and my girly parts removed in the next few weeks as everything is infected and causing pain and havoc on my system. ( Read more... )

I am still recuperating from mono. I sleep about 18 hours a day and when I am not sleeping, I complain that I am tired. My spleen is triple the size and I ache everywhere. The good news is that the doctor said that I am probably not contagious now. The bad news is that I didn't know that I had it during the incubation period and who knows which ( Read more... )

After almost 6 years I move onward and upward. Friday was my last day in my old position, in my old building and in my old (and outdated) salary.
