In my philosophy class, we are reading Descartes and his 'question everything mentality'. He believed that we cannot prove our hands or real, our eyelashes, the computer screens we're reading this very moment, because they are simply sense impulses being intpreted by our brain, senses that at times deceive us and therefore could never be trusted.
