Yesterday I had to go drop off some forms in one of the offices on the other side of campus. When I went to drop off those forms, they gave me another form to fill out (welcome to the government). The problem was that the new form needed my office phone number, and I had no idea what it was. I hadn't updated the one in my address book when I moved

Right. It's the difference between being happy/eager to sleep with one's friends, if they're interested, and being up-front about what one is offering, and that sort of seduce-and-leave thing. And being a decent person and treating the women in question like people he likes and respects doesn't require monogamy, but it involves actual friendship, which takes a certain amount of time.

I'd hope that knowing people better and liking them leads to better overall results, but different people have different goals.

The world has more than enough rogues already and could do with significantly fewer, so I doubt you have anything to regret (nor should your partners, which is also a bonus).
