E Readers--advice from my FList, please

I've been thinking about getting an e-reader for a while. Our bookshelves are overflowing and I really don't have a place to put another. Plus, it'd be real handy to have lots of books in one little device, so I'm not trapped on a plane with nothing to read ( Read more... )

I'm also leaning toward the Nook. But then I'm Apple Mac rather than PC Windows. If I'd been in the market back in the day I'd probably gone with betamax.

I'm an anti-lemming?

I don't know if this will influence your decision but Amazon is working with OverDrive to make ebooks available to Kindle users. They're saying that Kindle users will be able to access them by later this year. (OverDrive is the company that libraries get their ebooks from)

I have a Nook Color so I can't really say much about the Nook Touch. I do love my Nook though.

I did look at Kindles when I got mine but I just liked the Nook a little bit better because of the SD card option.

I originally just wanted the regular Nook but it was a gift and my mom bought the Nook Color for me. With the recent upgrade it is a more of a lite tablet computer then a straight ereader but I like it. It has Angry Birds. I am easily amused.
