It's so fucking cold outside, the kind of cold that makes your skin hurt. I had to be out in the cold a lot today (bringing Gavin to school, going to the doc's office and back to get us in the queue, going to the doc's office with the baby and then to a drugstore and then back, going to a grocery store and then another drugstore and back) and ( Read more... )

We do live in a pretty awesome place. Despite the cold and the hassle I had getting to work this morning, I couldn't bring myself to be upset about it. It's winter in Canada - this is what happens.

i used to feel that way until i started working at horizons. my kids get shot all the time, they're in gangs, and the dugs, well don't even get me started on the drugs.

but other than that, i DO love being canadian a ridiculous amount... we just got the canadian alphabet book and flipped through it lovingly

Oh, I know there's areas of TO that do have gun violence, gangs, etc. But my neighborhood, thankfully, isn't one of them. :)
