A recent SFX poll has determined that Serenity is better than Star Wars. I don't personally agree but you know, these things happen. Except they also think that Serenity is better than Alien, Blade Runner, The Terminator, The Matrix and even Back To

If it were me, I'd just list all the films that won the Hugo for "Best Dramatic Presentation". Then again, we lose The Matrix and get Galaxy Quest that way....

I agree that Star Trek: First Contact is better than Serenity. But then lots of other things are better than Star Trek: First Contact.

Keeping it topical and slapfighty I will note that according to the BBC article 3,000 readers voted whereas 364 people voted for the film Hugo last year.

Has anyone got a copy of this SFX? Is it a top hundred list? I smell instant_fanzine pollage.

Quick look at the SFX website suggests it was just an online poll. There's no mention of a top 100 or anything. Serenity got 61% of the vote and SW got 28%.

We need a comprehensive top 100 SF movies though. Hop to it, Lord Pollster!
