Yep! I've been one for a couple of years now! [The pride in Kazooie's voice is not easily missed.] What kinda hero stuff do you do, Pao-lin?

I catch criminals and save innocent people for HeroTV! Sometimes I also do promotional and charity events too. It depends on what my sponsors want, or what HeroTV wants.

[Kazooie is going to quickly find that Pao-lin's experience of being a Hero is a wee bit different from what she expects.]

[... On the contrary, this is almost - in a vague way - similar to Kazooie being a video game character.]

HeroTV? Who're those guys?

... So you pretty much get paid to be a hero or something? Man, how come I couldn't land a job like that?

If you need help with food for the party, let me know.

I knew I could count on you, Ginia. You're almost as awesome as I am! [This is a high compliment, coming from Kazooie.]

I'm thinking we should have a lot of those... pastry things. 'Cause they're really good. [She will need to be convinced to include anything remotely healthy...]

Pastries? All right, I think that can be manageable. Cookies too? When do you think the party will be?

Cookies will be great too!

... And I was thinking in a couple days. Maybe... uh... five days or something? [Surely that's totally enough time... not that Kazooie has much idea in the way of time frames.]

[Food is always a serious question!]

Been wondering about that, actually... I bet those little pastry things would be great for everybody!

[... Except, you know, anybody with any kind of lactose intolerance...]

... We could get other party food too! Like crisps and cake and ice cream...

What about pizza? Pizza's definitely a party food!

Pizza would be great too! Lots of different kinds of food - variety is always good to have!

[She cocks her head thoughtfully.] Isn't there some place called Azzip here that makes pizza?

...I guess I can be counted in that hero list. As long as breaking curses and beating up a demon Overlord counts.

[He actually sounds much more confident than guessing it does.]

... Yeah, I'd say that counts.

[Sheesh. She's not entirely sure if she should be vaguely impressed or offended for being shown up.]

A demon Overlord, huh?

Yup. He's the jerk who put the curse on my homeworld to begin with.

Sounds like a real nasty guy. Why'd he put a curse on your world? [Grunty's motivations are all selfish; those are the kind Kazooie understands best, because they motivate her too. She figures that the demon overlord was jealous or personally angry or something.]

Why wouldn't you call yourself a hero if you did good stuff? [This baffles her. Being a hero is a good thing! Then you get all this praise and positive attention...]

[... As much as she doesn't like to admit it, even Kazooie has needed help.

Not like she'll easily say so.]

Hey, doing something is always better than doing nothing! 'Specially if you're just sitting around!
