Writer's Block: Health Care

It is a right, no matter how much money you make. Refusing to give health care to someone makes them just short of being a monster.

True, and the system needs to change in order to cover for the salaries of people who work in health care, but the point still stands: It is a right. In order for any government to exist it needs it's citizens to contribute to it, and it is not only beneficial, but necessary to treat people of their illnesses. Most of these people do have jobs, but just can't afford health care, but they do boost the economy.

I have donated to my city's hospital in the past, but in the US there is no universal health care, which is exactly what I'm advocating for. But I'll keep you in mind when I make my next donation. And no, I don't expect the citizens to pay even more, I just want some ideas as to how to re-tool the system into providing enough health care for it's people, while not seeming like it is a charity to do so.

I agee with you...I think everyone should get care! But, unfortunately, it's all about he money not the patient. The Bible says, "Money is the root of all evil"...could there be a truer statment?

That's the reason why I hate these arguments; it's never about human life, but little slips of green paper that can so easily be taken away.

Thank goodness at least a few of us in this world are a bit more human than monster.
