True, and the system needs to change in order to cover for the salaries of people who work in health care, but the point still stands: It is a right. In order for any government to exist it needs it's citizens to contribute to it, and it is not only beneficial, but necessary to treat people of their illnesses. Most of these people do have jobs, but just can't afford health care, but they do boost the economy.

I have donated to my city's hospital in the past, but in the US there is no universal health care, which is exactly what I'm advocating for. But I'll keep you in mind when I make my next donation. And no, I don't expect the citizens to pay even more, I just want some ideas as to how to re-tool the system into providing enough health care for it's people, while not seeming like it is a charity to do so.

Sorry for the mistake then, I'm terrible at reading tone on the Internet. As for your question, yes there is no true, easy way to solve all the problems that our system has, and there will always be people who will abuse it. Basic care, I believe, is fundamental in cutting down diseases that shouldn't run as rampant as they are now. France seems to have a relatively high standard of care for it's patients, so that might be worth looking into.

Now they haven't quite fixed out all the kinks in their system, but I still think that if we study their plan and make changes accordingly, we could have a slightly better system.
