Not too long ago a story broke about Wisconsin State Senator Randy Hopper being called out by his soon-to-be ex-wife, because he allegedly was cheating on her. I dismissed it because quite frankly I'm getting tired of the unrealistic expectations we have on our politicians, just because one cheats doesn't mean that much to me ( Read more... )

You don't understand, only Democrats are corrupt scumbags. If Republican governors threaten to call in the National Guard to fulfill its original purpose, gunning down strikers, or if they use the entire power of their state government to harass a single law enforcement officer as a personal grievance, that's not a problem because only Democrats lack scandals.

a friend of mine ran for mayor of our town, and when I asked him why he was running, he said "for personal aggrandizement, of course. I mean, for the CHILDREN."

Oh, that does put an interesting twist on it. Instead of having the usual marriage scandal, we now have CORRUPTION AND CRONYISM. I love corruption cases. It marries all political factions together so well.
