I'm sure she earned it

Not too long ago a story broke about Wisconsin State Senator Randy Hopper being called out by his soon-to-be ex-wife, because he allegedly was cheating on her. I dismissed it because quite frankly I'm getting tired of the unrealistic expectations we have on our politicians, just because one cheats doesn't mean that much to me ( Read more... )

yes, that's an inappropriate sign. Pretty irrelevant to a story about an adulterer who may or may not have gotten his paramour a cushy gov'mint job.

right, because to you, it's only corruption if it's the guy with the (d) after his name.

well, based on the concept that the Wisconsin Union workers pensions are paid for with tax-payer money, this guy was using tax-payer money to keep his mistress. Does that count, oh gossip hater?

You're suggesting that this guy never took his mistress out to lunch? I suppose it's possible.

Let's see if you can follow the logic.

1) There's a huge fuss over the fact that the teachers in Wisconsin have their retirement funds paid for with tax-payer money. A large part of that fuss is insistence that even though the funds came out of their salaries, it's still tax money.

2) Senator Huffenpuff up there is paid by the taxpayers too. If he took his lady-friend out to lunch, the taxpayers covered it.

Si, senor?
