"The guy should get a medal for what he did."

I felt like I was cleaning up a mess. Not like spilled food, not like vomit, not even like…not even like diarrhea. The worst mess possible. And I was stuck with it…They weren’t human. I don’t see them as human. I see them as vermin. Social mistakes, social problems.
These are the words of a killer shortly after he committed his crime. His victims ( Read more... )

I can't understand anyone supporting Team Murdering Old Man or Team Piece of Shit Kids.

There is a third option, Team Society, our team - and our team just got a little stronger by removing 3 people who have/had no regard for the life of their fellow citizens, fellow humans.

I know it seems natural to pick a side, jump to the left or right without thinking, but I can't bring myself to support either side. Good riddance to the 3 of them.

o: I can't understand anyone supporting Team Murdering Old Man or Team Piece of Shit Kids.

I can't understand equating what those kids did with what that man did.

That is a disgusting comment. I've seen not one shred of evidence that those two kids had "no regard for the life of their fellow citizens." Do you truly equate breaking into a presumably empty house with setting up a trap and gunning down two kids?

Did you listen to the audio?

Equating....

You think shooting someone with a gun and killing them is bad, and I agree.

Stealing someones medicine is also bad.

Seems like apples and oranges, but depending on the medicine - it could be apples and apples, it could be the same end result, one is just bloodier.

Your comparison would only be comprable if those two kids had taken someone's live-saving medication with the express intent of watching causing their victim's death, taunted their victim, gloated as they watched their victim die, and then recorded a rambling, vindictive 20 minute rant of venom and self-justification.

If he was capable of setting up a situation where he could kill them, then why couldn't he just as easily set up a situation where they could have been trapped in his basement or a room of his house until the cops could come arrest them? He said he feared for them having weapons, but the way he killed them sounds awful and like a predator. He should go to jail for life. What he did doesn't even remotely sound like self-defense, so it's just murder.

That's why he was convicted. There are ways to deter B&E without resorting to setting up a literal death trap.

His mistake seems to have been to record the incident. I think without that chilling audio, there would be more sympathy for his case.

I shudder to think what the dialogue would be if he planned this out better.

His lawyer would have told him to shut up and we would have been left with two burglars who got shot by a homeowner. I doubt anyone would be discussing it.

Forensics could've partially pieced together what happened.

What is it people say around here? Freedom of expression = / = freedom from the repercussions?

I like the idea that he was so brainwashed by gun fanatic / property is god ideology that he believed he could do whatever he wanted to trespassers.
