"The guy should get a medal for what he did."

I felt like I was cleaning up a mess. Not like spilled food, not like vomit, not even like…not even like diarrhea. The worst mess possible. And I was stuck with it…They weren’t human. I don’t see them as human. I see them as vermin. Social mistakes, social problems.
These are the words of a killer shortly after he committed his crime. His victims ( Read more... )

His mistake seems to have been to record the incident. I think without that chilling audio, there would be more sympathy for his case.

I shudder to think what the dialogue would be if he planned this out better.

His lawyer would have told him to shut up and we would have been left with two burglars who got shot by a homeowner. I doubt anyone would be discussing it.

Forensics could've partially pieced together what happened.

Of course this fellow's lawyer did a lousy job of keeping him quiet and he actually thought the tape would exonerate him. First he killed two kids who didn't pose any threat to him then he seems to have put some effort into convincing the cops of that fact. When you tell the cops about your clean finishing shot, you're probably not going to walk.

I grant that happened once a year ago, an anecdote you'll continue to work for some time to come despite it being the exception that defines the rule.

Ugly that armed vigilantism is a thing. Now that guy gets to live a block away from the kid he slew's parents. I wonder if he moved?

Which is why I imagine that you think cops should be the only people with guns.

Lord forbid that would-be lynchee fight back. Can't have "vigilantees" taking the law into thier own hands can we? If you want to bitch about the "southern strategy" at least acknowledge the REAL reason that the Democrats became (and still are) the party of Gun-control.

Yes. You imagine what I think. So much easier than actually dealing with what I say.

And for the record, no, I don't think cops should be the only people with guns.

The man hanging in that picture was Leo Frank, who was kidnapped from the prison where he was incarcarated and lynched.

So I gather from this you believe convicts should be armed.
