Definitely. I was thinking the same thing last night. Either that, or do like an awards show and have an orchestra start playing once the candidate reaches his time limit.

It's been creeping up as Lehrer attempts (weakly and in vain) to enforce time limits.

Maybe it's not the cutting off that's annoying me, just the guy doing it. Would an air horn make this any more circusy than it already is?
