Japan ironically blames everyone while decrying the tendency to blame everyone.

So we all know how the Fukushima disaster came about right? Cost-cutting, sloppy, negligent management. Well, that isn't the whole story you see. You see, as the report indicates:

It looks like the Japanese are taking this opportunity for self-flagellation. Who says they have learned nothing from Catholicism? Let's call it the Opus Dei Effect.

Funny, I thought Fukushima was due to a horrendous act of nature. Silly me. I forgot that New Orleans getting flooded was the fault of the Corps of Engineers, and the eruption that buried Pompeii was the fault of the Roman Empire. Disasters are always the fault of a person, organization or government.

Fukushima was caused by longstanding safety issues in the Japanese energy business. If they'd followed the actual rules and dealt with rather than cover up problems there wouldn't have been a disaster.
