Um, Gollum was technically a Hobbit too.

At least that's what he originally was ~500 years before the events in the LOTR when he first "found" the ring. He just wasn't one of the "respectable" Hobbits of the Shire.

That said, the association with Decepticons would not be in any way accurate because the Tea Party has shown little to no desire to rule
