That's another way to do it

While some are disseminating booklets telling refugees "Bad boy. Don't do that!", folks in Russia have decided enough is enough, and have taken the law in their own hands:

Refugees Find Out Russia Isn’t Norway

"The refugees groped and fondled the Russian women much like they do all through Europe. The refugees tried to flee the scene after a ( Read more... )

Justice in a country that levels its own cities, imprisons dissidents on the grounds that they exist, and is reviving 19th Century "we have army, you obey" geopolitics with a vengeance?

Very nice joke, and very revealing that what people adore about the Russians is the willingness of their leades to react brutally against a refugee crisis they're doing more than anyone except perhaps the United States to foster with malice aforethought.

But thanks for the lecture.

1) Uh, I hate to tell you this, but South Vietnam is not in the fucking United States. Geography, dude. Look at a fucking map.

2) Cute, but not quite the same thing as what Putin does to his dissidents. Disappearing them and poisoning them in London and all....but I forget, you get a hard-on for Black Hundreds style posturing from the very people who are causing this fucking refugee crisis in the first place. So.....go on cheering the arsonist as the fireman. :)

3) Ah, no. That's not 19th Century geopolitics, that's a basic rule of starting a war. Invent any pretext, no matter how falsified.

You're welcome for the lecture, BTW, since you seem to mistake arsonists for firemen and Vietnam for the United States.

1) The point fucking stays.

3) More excuses.

You don't know jack shit about me, so I'd appreciate if you refrain from making assumptions about me.

If you call a lynch-mob "justice", and beating up anyone who crosses your way "another way to do it", then I guess you're right. But then again, this is Russia that we're talking about. The law applies only in some special circumstances.

And as it turns out, in most circumstances in the EU, the law only applies when that won't offend anyone.

I say scrap all laws in Russia then, since there's obviously no need of them. And run the country through presidential decrees. They've come pretty close to that situation anyway, so why bother pretending any more.

As opposed to endless bureaucratic bickering that achieves nothing? I'd say go for it.

Yeah, threaten me with cards all you want. I will not tolerate someone who hasn't moved a finger on the issue to lecture me about what I am and what I'm fine with. I've invested a lot of my time, money, physical and emotional effort in aiding asylum-seekers in my municipality over the last few months. And I'm being lectured by someone who hasn't left their armchair in ages and whose knowledge of the world comes from dusty books? If relentless strawmanning is what the board prefers over honest debate, so be it. Suspend me or whatever you call what you like doing the most. I know where I stand.

OK you're pissed, We got that the first time you blurted those profanities out.

Honest debate is more of "You misunderstood me because..." and less of "Fuck you, you're wrong because I said so". If you haven't learned that by now, that's on you. And if you haven't learned by now that this is not the place to rant about how the place is being run, that's on you too. As someone who's been in your position more than a few times, I can respect your personal efforts to a cause you believe in. But no more of this flaming will be tolerated right here. Consider yourself properly informed.
