Wow! I really liked this!
You really made me understand Thyra better and truly feel for her situation.

There was some powerful stuff in here, notably:

"It's not like that," she said quietly. "I didn't miss it. I only--there was a time when I could only see the bad in people, and...I don't want to go back to that ever again. From now on, I want to focus on the good, too. I want to believe that--even if it takes a long time, even if I have to try again and again, I still want to believe that kindness will be met with kindness."

And maybe not so much out of context, but also: Briefly, she thought about asking Shirley how she could forgive people so easily--then she realized, with a jolt, that she already knew.

Haha, thanks. .////. I'm glad it worked for you! T-this was supposed to be a pairing thing, and then it kind of...evolved into a character study, orz.

This is late and you don't know who I am but...

I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this fic. I came her from the Legendia community if you're wondering and have been following your writing for a while.

Needless to say I like what I see. :)

But this... was really nice. It was equal parts bitter and sweet. I really liked how Thyra and Shirley bounced off of each other in the game so this is a real treat.

Also... I've always thought that if Fenimore is a mentor to Shirley, then Shirley is a mentor to Thyra. I was happy that this was sort of reflected in your fic.

Anyway, just really loved how you illustrated the Ferines village (Maurits!) and tied Thyra's thoughts in with the events of the story. The added Shirley and Senel/Shirley was nice too.

It's not disorganized at all!

...I could really hear Shirley in my mind talking to Fenimore. ;-;

(I ship Thyra/map guy now...)
