Let's add this to the list of meme's I plan on using my free time to complete this week!

Also: Aughdfjsdkl Mt. Hood and Mt. Rainier~ Some of my earlier memories involve living within sight of Mt. Rainier, and my dad climbed to the peaks of both and ran several marathons involving them (the Hood to Coast, for instance). I've long missed seeing them and your mentioning them is sending me on a nice nostalgia trip~

I'm nervous about leaving this comment...god only knows what I've got listed as interests.
But I figure cleaning them up is probably a little like cheating.

cats - No, not the musical. I love cats. I always have, my whole life. I got my first cat as a child. We actually got two. Dixie and Trixie. My dad didn't like cats, so this was after my parents divorced, I was probably six. From Dixie and Trixie came generations of many cats. I have to admit I wasn't always kind to them as a child. I remember kicking the occasional cat, and we used to always get a kick out of tossing them in the pond to watch them swim out. Cats are great swimmers, btw. I remember once we put Trixie in the microwave to dry her off. Luckily Mom caught us in time. I cannot imagine the horror we'd have experienced if that had been allowed to continue. ::shudders ( ... )

Friday the 13th - This isn't the day, but the movie, and actually the whole series of movies. I'm a huge fan of them, and I have been since I was a child. Great popcorn/drinking movies. They're just fun. And it's become part of our folklore. There isn't anyone alive in the this country that doesn't know the story, even if they've never seen any of the movies. And who hasn't been camping at the lake that hasn't had a certain hockey masked killer going "ch ch ch ah ah ah" in the back of their mind at least once?

Madonna I've been a Madonna fan for as long as I can remember. I've loved her songs since before I was in kindergarten, and that's no exaggeration. I grew up listening to her and watching her videos and I've always been inspired by her. A week doesn't go by, I don't think, that I don't post something about Madonna in my LJ. Even when we hate her we love her.
