A Most UNhappy Camper

I just posted the first 8 chapters of "You Were Meant To Be Mine" over at FanFiction.Net. Getting the hang of uploading to that site is a pain in the ass. Making sure I got all the details where they're supposed to be only added to my irritation. Then, because I was so busy focussing on this or that detail, I'd suddenly realize I forgot ( Read more... )

I went over to FanFiction but I couldn't find your story using a title search. I just wanted to see what had tripped the bee-otch's trigger.

That's odd. I just went and checked and it's up there, all links working. Perhaps if you search by my author name it will come up. Thanks for listening to me fuss about this and then taking the time to go check up on it. I appreciate it.

Okay, I found your story under your name along with the rant from someone who obviously forgot to take her Prozac. I hate to say I've seen some of these Simon Cowell wannabees in higher level writing workshops, too. I'll check out your story and leave you more critical feedback at the ff site.

Unfortunately, there are people out there that can only feel good about themselves by belittling and hating other people. I'd say your reviewer is one of these people. I read her 'review' and she claims to have not even read any of your story - only the summary. There are several stories posted in the different communities that the summaries don't appeal to me, I just ignore them. Or if I've read the author before and liked their work in the past, I may still read the story in hopes of being pleasantly suprised (and I have been). I am not a fan of Mary Sue's or male preg but have still read some that were very well done. And I don't flame the author's that write them, even if there are not well done. Especially without even reading the story.

Don't take this spoiled little girl's flame to heart and just keep writing what you enjoy. I do not have an account at ff.net so I don't know, but perhaps there is a way to remove her flame - although anyone reading it, I'm sure, would just disregard it.

You make many good points here. I'll keep them in mind, despite this experience taking some of the shine of my excitement over participating at FF.Net.

I've actually received quite a few flames from what I now like to call my "Stalker". He/She/It leaves anon reviews all over my stories, from the ones posted at FF to the ones posted at mediaminer.

The "prime" one so far: "Why write shit?"

O_o Honestly. That is only a reflection back on the reviewer, in the end, and not on the fic itself. Screw 'em, I say.
