when M and i heard that Steve from our dive club was organising a Scillies trip, we both jumped at the chance - M dives in the Scillies regularly and i've seen his photos

How awesome!! I love wall dives, too, and I'm so glad you got a chance to do this :D
On my phone, so the duration of squee must be limited, but the enthusiasm is full-throttle!!
(Have not given up on diving again -- would need to re-cert, and to plan some accommodations like having to put on/take off my tanks with assistance in the water, but it's still in the realm of the very possible, should we get to a point where it's fiscally do-able in the future.)
So happy and excited for you!! Did anyone have a camera this trip?
i didnt realise you dive(d)! (is there anything you havent done??? :))
one of our party had her go pro (and another had one but lost it) so i'll see if i can get copies of the photos. M usually takes his camera, but because he was babysitting (me), he didnt take many photos.
however our organiser is contemplating a return visit in 2016, so hopefully there will be more photos then :)
I don't have a *huge* amount of diving experience, but I really loved the diving that I was able to do, and wish that I could go back to it!
Wish I'd done more of it when I was healthier, too, but since Kyle wasn't interested (to be fair, a very pale Dane doesn't do well at the beach!), I didn't have anyone who wanted to go with me. The relationship I'd been in when I got my scuba license had ended after two-and-a-half years (because our lives were going in different directions, although there was no lack of love there), so I lost my dive partner as well as my partner himself.
But, yes -- I got my license in 2000, have dived in the Florida Keys, dived in Cancun a couple of times, did a quarry dive in Pennsylvania, and would love to pick it up again!
it's a shame you lost your buddy :( maybe there's a dive club near you, that you could join? (it might be good for your joints, esp if the boat has a dive lift)
i havent dived in the US yet, but it's on the list :)
