short version: Edinburgh is lovely, the castle is fun, diving around Eyemouth is granite gullies (we had bad sea fog for the week, so sites were limited).

saw octopus, wolf fish, crabs, lobsters, anemones, 975406294702795 dead man's fingers, nudibranches. was a fun week.

so. M and i decided we wanted to return to Egypt for our winter break this year but i didnt want to re-dive Sharm (we've been twice). A diver friend recommended El Gouna, on the mainland, so we decided to try it.

M and i were considering our (now usual) mid-winter holiday, when a friend noted that her partner's dive club were diving in Costa Rica and there were two spaces left - were we interested? (oh hell yes).
