This is excellent! I love the way it moves so seamlessly from Harry's anticipation to the (extremely sexy) sex scene. The details of the touch tattoo are really creative, and I like the way you deal with its implications. Your Harry and Ginny always feel like true equals, to me. Lovely. :)

I'm glad that they seem like true equals - they're both such strong personalities that it seems a waste not to write them like that. :) I started your story yesterday and hope to get back to it today. The opening reminds me so much of the opening for Goblet of Fire with the omniscient point of view. Thanks for reading!

I have to feel for poor Harry when Ginny tells him about the tattoo. Especially with the little back story on how a Touch Tattoo works. I kind of wanted to laugh at how Harry was kind of getting jealous of the tattoo pleasing Ginny more than him. And then Harry gets his back which makes Ginny apparate them both to his bedroom. My favorite line was when Ginny said that she'd train him well.

If I may so ask, is it okay to use the idea of the Guard Tattoo? I've been wanting to do a tattoo fic in the HP fandom but I just never really had a plot to rationalize the idea I want to do and the little pest has been bouncing around my head for a while.

I'm glad you liked the story and Harry's reaction. I think new things in the bedroom can be exciting, but a little intimidating as well. Luckily they could talk through all of the implications.

Of course you can use the Guard Tattoo! I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

You're so clever. I love how you invent magical uses for everyday objects (or tattoos). Ginny's touch tattoo is a far better use of one than the dark mark.

I had never really thought about tattoos in the magical world until I saw this prompt, so it was fun to think of possibilities. Yes, the Dark Mark is such a waste (and poor Draco is stuck with his for the rest of his life - although I don't think they have sleeveless robes to show his shame).

A tattoo is a choice (a poor one made by Draco) - a scar is a badge of honor and is way sexy. ( Has moonette not taught you anything?)
