wow. just... wow. That was absolutely beautiful. I love what you've done with Noah growing up and that ability!!! omg, how perfect! you've written their father/son dynamic so well. I could really feel all the pain and turmoil they were both going through.

this was so good!

Oh man, I love fic that explores the I Am Become Death 'verse. So much was left unexplained, and I like the power you've given little Noah. :) The son of one of the greatest manipulators would have a power connected to using people! This was really, really nice. <3

Thanks, that's what I figured. Originally his power was going to be something different but I thought it would be cool to link them

Thanks for reading XD

Noah's ability was really original, well-thought out. I absolutely love this concept. His love for his father is a mirror image of Sylar's love for him, but with an ironic twist that makes my heart ache. It's really believable that a son of Sylar could end up this way, even with, or maybe more because of, the devotion they have for each other.

Cheers, I like the idea of nature finding a loophole in the loss of Sylar as a force. Almost as if his self-imposed limits on his power are a kind of hubris.

That was fantastic. I loved both their reactions to what is happening, and the fact that Noah's ability is related to Gabriel's. But mostly, I liked Gabriel's vague memories of being Sylar and his attempts at making life 'normal' for his son in a way it never really was for him. Plus, it was beautifully written.

("There's a dog loose in the woods" immediately brought back memories of 'Watership Down'. Nothing to do with your story, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.)

I took that line from Watership Down! It was my favourite film as kid and I always found that line really haunting. My dad used to us it to mean someone was a bit mad XD

Wow, I thought I was imagining things! It's a line that has evidently haunted me too; it was my favourite book as a child, but it's been a long time. The fact that a search on the phrase in Google immediately brought up Watership Down suggests we're not the only haunted ones! Your dad's interpretation is very apt in the context of your story.
