I'm back! Thursday was my last day of classes for the term, I've sent in two of my five grad school apps, my GRE has been taken, life is good for me to make my way full steam ahead into LJ-inspired Procrastinationland

Mmmm, Round Table. I haven't been able to stop reading Merlin fic ever since Sunday -- I'm in withdrawal so bad. I don't know how I can wait for s4. ;~;
After this weekend's Spn, I have decided to classify it as Supernatural Two in my brain. I don't love it any less, but it's just...you know. Anyway, I am rather heartbroken over Crowley, since he was getting me through the Caslessness, but I am content believing he has gone over to Purgatory to hang out with King Gabriel. (The righteous pagans go to Purgatory! Angel + Loki = he is totally king of Purgatory, okay, I BELIEVE.)
And totally agreed on the lack of support for any of the story lines. They need to at least start crossing in more cohesive ways -- I was hoping there would be some weird Crowley+Raphael agreement so at least there could be some unified enemy for the boys+angel, but alas.
Also, uh, Sam's soul isn't the only thing being ripped apart down in that pit, guys. (Adam ;~;)
I miss Merlin fic! A few weeks ago I tried to go find some to read, but it's been so long since I've read any that I can't even remember who the good authors are. And I didn't really want any of the graphic slash stuff (although, obviously slash in my fic is gooood, just wasn't in the mood for porn or whatever) and that was making it even more difficult to find any. Link me something good if you feel like it, mmkay

Okay, about The Mentalist I already left you a comment in your picspam post (which was totally awesome btw). ♥ HP, I loved it too! And I also had the kids sitting next to me talking all the time! Veery annoying -__- Aaaand I can't wait for Narniaaaaa!!!! *bounces*
I haven't seen Merlin S3 yet, but I agree on S2. I loved just one episode of that season (the one with Freya), but the rest... meh.
Supernatural... I agree on that too XD I mean, I am a veeeery patient person, but now really the season needs to give us something more... And I want my Sam back! :(
Thanks for commenting on my picspam! :D I'm really glad I found another Mentalist fan. We seem to be in rather short supply (on LJ).
I liked Freya a lot, too. Well, okay, I thought that the Freya storyline was good and all the came with it, but I thought that it was like, a little misplaced or something to be in the season 2 train wreck. Waaah, I'm not being very articulate right now, but yeah. You should track down S3 and watch it. Like I said, it definitely redeemed itself.
I feel like I'm a patient person as well, but yeah, like you said, something more needs to happen. I don't even mind if none of the other story lines get filled out for a few more episodes, I just reeeeeally want Sam to get his soul back. I feel like that's the story line that is getting worn out the fastest. And basically, I just miss Sam. Give us our Sam baaaack!
Okay, Okay, I am going to start watching Merlin S3 REALLY soon now that school is over, I'm so sad all the time when I can't talk to you about it! The talking is coming!

is absolutely adorable. I LOVE The Mentalist too.
I marathoned Torchwood then Doctor Who up to the end of season four and I am in obsession mode. I only stopped because a friend and I are planning a three day marathon in January to make akikotree watch it :D
I got trapped on youtube watching Nevermind the Buzzcocks until 2am last night. Oh, the good old days. MCAT studying starts today.
I agree with you about Merlin. Season one was like OMG SPARKLES AND DRAGONS AND ARTHUR'S FAAAAAACE, but then season two happened and...yeah.
I even felt that way for parts of season three, in the beginning. I felt like every episode was a rehash of the one before it, just MORGANA IS EVIL BUT WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, AND ALSO GWEN LOVES ARTHUR AND THEIR LOVE IS SO BEAUTIFUL LOOK AT IT! MERLIN, WHO IS MERLIN?
But toward the end, particularly the last four episodes, I did fall back into love with it, and now I am anxiously awaiting season four.
Lol, so your summary of season one? Spot on, yo. :P
And I totally agree that a large part of season three was seriously lacking in giving Merlin any justice by way of story lines, etc. They should've renamed the show "Morgana's Evil Smirk" rather than "Merlin." But whatevs. I think that it got a lot better, like you said, by the last four or five episodes. It will never be my favorite show and it will never fill me with quite the same glee that season one did, but I thought Gwaine added a nice dynamic to the Arthur and Merlin interactions, and I was pretty impressed with how Angel Coulby handled all the Gwen stuff. Well, mostly (I guess I probably already said this in the post, lol), I'm just really impressed with all of the actors for taking clearly shit writing and actually making something watchable. :D
