HIIIIII.

I'm back! Thursday was my last day of classes for the term, I've sent in two of my five grad school apps, my GRE has been taken, life is good for me to make my way full steam ahead into LJ-inspired Procrastinationland!

And what do I return with from my hiatus? Well, a new TV obsession, of course! I marathoned The Mentalist like a mofo, and am thus caught up now with all aired episodes and I'm totally in looove with it! Picspam to follow, because naturally, when I love something, I should picspam it with my terrible graphic arts abilities.

Here's what you've missed by way of my fannish tangents:

HP was quite excellent, which I'm sure you all know by now since you're probably all way more on top of things like that than I am. I love Rupert Grint. All the Weasley's, really. Ginny is an HBIC as always, although we didn't really see much of her this time around; Bill (hi Bill!) was certainly a looker, eh?; and the twiiiins! So much love explodes from my heart for those two. I'm going to be sobbing like nobody's business come That One Part in Part II.

Speaking of the movie having multiple parts and all, there was this woman sitting in front of me who, for like the entire film, was leaning over to her neighbor asking things like, "Who is that?" "Wait, what's going one?" "What the hell does that mean?" "Where are they going?" "Who is that?" SHUUUT UUUP. Jeeeezus. And at the end, she's like, "Wait, that's it? It didn't have an ending!"

A note: when something has the subtitle, "Part I," there is an implication that a "Part II," and the very least, will follow.

On a slightly related note: I can't wait for Narniaaaaa!

Okay. Merlin. I just.

In season 1, I thought that, despite its ridiculousness, for the most part, the stories were good and overall I was generally rather impressed. Then came the train wreck that was season 2, something I like to pretend didn't happen. LA LA LA WHAT SEASON 2???

But season 3 managed to impress me again. Not, shall I say, with the superb writing skills (hahahaaa) or anything, but with the fact that those actors can take laughable dialogue, kinda weak storylines, and make it actually pretty good. Not the best show ever, but something I can look forward to on a Saturday afternoon.

The last two episodes were excellent, I do have to say that. Hello hottest Round Table ever. Mmm.

SPN. BB. Pick a story line and fill it out some more. Seriously, all this jumping around between Heaven's Civil War, Raphael being a butthead, Samuel, Samuel wanting Mary back, Meg, Crowley, Sam's soul - we haaaas it! Just kidding, no we don't. Just kidding, yes we do, but it's totes messed up now, haha! Just kidding, we can't get it for you anyway. - it's just. They're all good story lines, but the fact that none of them have progressed very far aside from continued vague references is making me feel as if I don't care for any of them.

And I'm the first to preach the season 6 just needs patience, because it's essentially a reboot, for all intents and purposes, but we're just about to endure Hellatus and we have like, zero answers. Except for Crowley getting killed. And actually, don't hate me, but I'm glad that happened. Because, while I actually did like him, I felt like his character was approaching that Danger: About to Be Overused line.

I'm trying to stay away from spoilers, so maybe I'm going to be encouraged by actual progress on Friday. Basically, I just really want Sam to get his soul back. Because even if it leaves him in a weepy mess, and even though soulless!Sam does some pretty adorably awkward fake!emotions and all, I sort of just want old!Sam back. Well, at least a version of Sam that more closely resembles old!Sam.

Soooo, did anyone watch The Sing-Off? I'm not really the biggest fan of reality shows, including reality competition shows (except for ANTM...which is my terrible guilty pleasure), but I had to watch because I go to school with one of the groups and we love our boys. :D
