Goodbye, Nippon Seinenkan

The 2019 Rugby World Cup and 2020 Paralympics in the nearby sports facilities means that the Nippon Seinenkan hotel in Tokyo is shutting down from the end of April 2015 until spring of 2017. They're dismantling the building and relocating it. This means that the last Takarazuka show at the current Nippon Seinenkan will be in February of 2015 ( Read more... )

I remember how they would change one of the men's rooms into a women's room for the Takarazuka performances. I always thought that was considerate (especially after having some truly epic lines in other venues...)

I don't have that much experience with live shows, but I liked Nippon Seinenkan - I found the surroundings nice. Though the service entrance is not much suited for iride - especially for non-club people, so I had the funny experience of being shooed to stand behind smaller clubs and watching siennes up close (or standing around at iri and watching siennes walk about a meter from me).
