I definitely recommend buying it! I loved La Mariposa, and King Solomon's Ring was much improved on DVD (a lot less headache-inducing). :D

Oh, wow. Seriously? I can't take news such as these so fast! I was barely recovered from the Yumiko-shock! And was squeeing with glee cause my Rio de Bravo!! DVD had just arrived. Total mood whiplash. And 9 months? Wow! That's a long time from now! Isn't the usual time between announcement and retirement about 6 months? Touko's announcement was on October 2008 and her retirement on April 2009, Tani's announcement was on January 2009 and her retirement on July! o.o

So, we'll have some time to speculate. What will her sayonara show be? Will the "Nova Bossa Nova" rummors be true (she did sang Amor Amor in the 2009 special after all!)? Will Mika retire alongside her? And will Kimu be made Top? And couldn't Yumiko have waited for 6 more months? =/

Yeah, it does seem awful early, but I think the cat has been unofficially out of the bag for a while, so maybe they decided it wasn't worth waiting?

I'm really getting antsy for more of the 2010 schedule! I've heard the NBN rumor as well. I'm hoping for Kiriyan, since it was her shinko lead, but I guess we'll have to wait and see! :D

And couldn't Yumiko have waited for 6 more months?

I'm glad she didn't! This way she gets her own sayonara show and all of the publicity and such she's due without getting cast in the shadow♥ I rather suspect that's why they staggered the retirements. :)

And here I was hoping I would get to see her at last once live (>.<).
Hope she really continues singing and dancing...

Good luck Mizu <3

That's always a bummer, but the wonderful thing with Takarazuka is how almost everything ends up on DVD, even if we can't make it to the live performances! ♥

Thats right... now the only problem left is how to become a millionaire to afford all the DVDs we want to see :D.

I can't believe she'll be retiring! I almost said, 'so soon', but she's been doing leads for at least ten years now. I really wanted to go see her on stage in person--even if it was standing room only. I have visions of flying out there to see Roger and Rock on! in Tokyo... but I've never been alone in a country before and I don't speak Japanese.

Is there anyone else going to see this show?

I'll definitely be going to see it in Tokyo.

Not sure if anyone else is going to check back on this older entry, but I bet if you post a new one in the community and ask you'll find some others.... if the Yukigumi fans haven't spent all their money coming to see Hamako and Yumiko retire in a few weeks. ;)
