I loved this! <3 Just the perfect thing to read before going to my boring job to earn money so I can eat. :P Now I have something to think/daydream about!
Is there a part two? I have read many of your other Merlin fics (I think I've also fallen in love with the way you write), but I havenn't seen it anywhere?
Thank you! This is is favourite fic, for myself, so I am always happy when people enjoy it too!
There is lots of stuff written but I never got around to finishing it, and then what with a whole new fandom at the moment I slightly forgot about it. But comments like this remind me of my duty to finish these things so I will do my best!
Wah, well I can see why you feel that it's your personal favourite. It's very engaging. Leaves you wanting more, like all good fics and books should!
Aw but... I would never say that a writer has a duty to her/his readers, but there is always the feeling of having to meet expectations, I suppose. You should take your time, because in a sense, it works well on it's own! (and if you like it so much, you should also enjoy writing it!)
Nyway, no problem! :D (I am a lousy "commenter", though I've been reading a ridiculous amount of fic after discovering the Merlin fandom...)
I really enjoy this, especially Merlin's stubbornness and also the way you describe the Krampus - a creature who clearly has his own moral code, but it's equally clearly one that's very far removed from what most humans have. i hope you write more sometime.
I really enjoyed this! Very intriguing and entertainingly sinister, sort of. I hope you will finish it, because it looks like it could be quite, quite awesome!

There are no words for how much I love this.
The exploration of Merlin's heritage, the incorporation of sentient mythological creatures, Merlin's fevernet desire to be good... I love it all.
His relationship with his mother is both genuinely loving and irrevokably altered becuase of the powers he posesses- something I think is very ture to the Merlin TV show.
I'm so pleased to find a really good story that explores Merlin's not!human origins, and I dearly hope you continue this. (I've spent a fond few minutes already going through various permutations of Arthur's reactions to the Krampus.)
It's one of those rare fics that will stay with me for some days after reading it, and -even if you don't finish the story- I thank you for a wonderful piece of writing, regardless.

Anyway, thank you, again!
