It's not like a lot of shinigami get the chance to meet humans worth sparring with. You're special. And when shinigami think of sparring, a lot of times we think with our swords, and in that case, I wouldn't spar with you. Maybe with my sealed sword once you've had some training, but definitely not my shikai. That's not condescending, that's safe. So yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of jackasses, but try and see both sides.
