It's a bit more then just complicated then BP hiding trade secrets. There is a lot of money involved for a lot of people and it suits everyone's intrests for this to be as bad as possible.

There is a chemical that is being used called COREXIT and BP and others have a lot of money invested in it. That's why every possible clean up method is being ignored by everyone involved.

This is a good article to read that explains it. See everyone and everything is connected. And tonight Obama is going to use the oil disaster to push his cap and trade bullshit. My point is, they can stop this leak. It just suits a lot of needs not to.

i did imply all the hands involved in the process. it's like a cancer that snakes its way through and gets its tendrils into every organ.

you're right it's not just BP. there's the people leasing the platform, the people who own the platform, the people supplying the supplies, the people who 'found' the oil pocket to begin with, the people who sell chucnks of sea floor... of, and people died in an explosion, just trying to do their jobs and feed their families.

the situation facinates me, and has just started horrifying me at the same time. and how fucking huge this all is. and how so many people are sitting around to save each other's asses... *finds something to calm down with*
